Root new market colors

has anyone updated their market manually to one of the colored versions?

I wanted to update to the black but after reading the entire thread over at xda I've noticed that people who already have the new market (2.2.7) either installed from an apk or OTA have had problems getting them to work. I installed the apk and when I don't need my phone for a few hours I'm going to make a backup and delete the apk I installed and try flashing the black one. I'm not too optimistic it'll work but what the hell I'll give it a shot

I tried, failed, and had to do a restore of my /data from a previous Nandroid to get the original market to work again. I'm good for now until something a little easier is cooked up.
