I have just switched to an Android phone. I found out that I had to download an app to delete contacts. Done. Now, I need to know if I can take pictures of people from facebook and use them as my contact pics. If so, how?

You didn't need an app to delete contacts.

You need to think of your phone as a mini pc!

Example: to save pictures from facebook just go to the picture you want to save and when your viewing it simply hold your finger on the screen (long press) and you will get an option box pop up. Scroll down to save picture and it will get saved to your download folder.

Think of it as right click and "save as"

Then go to your contact that you got the picture for and the go to edit and you can then add the picture from facebook to the phone contact.

Also log in via the fb app and the long press on the desk top and you will get another pop up box, go to contacts then facebook contacts it will drop a folder on the desk top with all your fb friends who have added their number to fb.

As mentioned, there are several ways to add facebook pictures to your phones contacts. Depending on which Android phone you have the ease of doing so can vary a little.

There are apps that can do it automatically though and when your contacts change photos on facebook their photo will change on the phone as well. Some phones have this built in and others use one of these. Facebook Contact Sync

Tried the link and went with the top app, still a faff on the X10 but it's 3 taps not 6 so thanks
