Help Noise reduction control

Just read a review of phone which mentions switching noise reduction control on & off during calls.

Does anyone know how to do this?

During a phonecall press the bottom left (menu button) you will see the option there, for me it improved phonecall quality for the other person, and even stopped an 'echo' they were hearing... gonna test it some more but it seems noise reduction is not working as intended at the moment.

Sorry for digging up an old thread. I've noticed that when I call someone it would appear that the Noise Reduction is set as off, to switch it on I have to manually switch it on by pressing menu and then "Noise Control". Does anyone know how to set the default as On? It seems like a bit of a nuisance to have to switch it on every time I make a phone call.

I don't think you can do this unless you install a different ROM. I would like to switch off noise reduction permanent because it creates an ECHO on the other end of the line.

removing the case solves the problem.

The base was a silicon purple case, rough inside.
