(I'm using a Galaxy S5 G900A running 5.1.1 that's unlocked - to clear up any questions on that)
My problem is that I'm not receiving gmail notifications or twitter alerts when I'm mentioned. I've done the following:
1) obviously made sure "sync" is turned on in the pull down settings
2) I cleared cache partition in recovery
3) I cleared cache and data in the Gmail app under Application Settings
4) I went to gmail and clicked on the 3 dots and made sure it's synced.
5) I deleted my Gmail account off the phone and then signed back in
6) I did a complete factory reset and
started over
None of the above helped anything. My Gmails either pop up all at one time every several hours throughout the day or I manually have to check gmail. In twitter I made sure I've allowed Samsung Galaxy to allow notifications. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, cleared data and my notifications still don't show.
I'm tired of getting my Gmails late. Any help? I feel I've exhausted all my options.
