Help Not ready to give up on ally

I just got a new phone and then decided to reset the lg ally. I wanted to use it for streaming music and as a handy camera.

Instead, it fails on the set up wizard. It then gives me nothing but the notification bar. No buttons work. I can connect as USB mass storage device.

I have tried to boot to recovery, but it tries to boot and freezes on the android screen. Then only way to get anything is hard reset. Then, it's notification bar and USB only.

Is there something I can do to save this neat little computer?

No ideas out there?

It will only boot from hard reset. When it does, the setup crashes. It then gives me a notification bar, but no launcher. On reboot (pull battery), it will freeze on the android screen.

I'd like to keep it alive, if at all possible.
