Player vs Fire TV vs Roku 3

I have a Roku 3 and am in the market for a second streaming box. The prices are similar SO what would/should get me to choose the Player over the other two. One glaring omission with the Nexus Player is no Amazon Prime access. Though understandable that Amazon might not want to support the nexus Player right away, any rumors that it would be forthcoming?

It's certainly possible, they have this for Google TV at least (not sure if it works on Android TV)

Amazon tends to be pragmatic. They love to sell their own hardware, but they know they sell items / content for far more money in the long run.

The release of Fire TV could prevent access to Amazon Prime, but as ALP stated Amazon is all about the money.

Depends on your use case, if you are big on Amazon services then stick with FireTV, if not I believe the Nexus Player is better.

Specs are similiar FireTV more memory, no USB, Nexus less memory, USB can be enabled.

FireTV closed android, Nexus Player pure Android with ecosystem behind it.
