Help Please help

I recently purchased an S4 and everything was working smoothly until 2 days ago. Some applications are acting up now whwj when im on wifi Facebook won't refresh neither will Facebook messenger I have to go to application manager force stop the app and then open it up again and after my phone goes to sleep mode it happens again. And YouTube loads low quality videos even though I'm on wifi so I have to force stop it and re open so it streams HD
Has anyone ever had or heard this? Is this a hardware issue ?

I believe it may be app related issues. I've recently updated these same apps on the Note 3 & performance of the apps have taken a hit.
