Bought an Escort 9500ix radar detector. Not cheap, but very effective. It uses GPS to allow you to mark known speed traps and also reject known false alerts (like automatic door openers) based on band frequency and location. Also has about a one mile range... plenty of time to react.

Now the Darling Bride wants one too

I couldn't turn my Full Stack past 5.. Everything would rattle of the shelves in the entire house let alone the SPL's would literally hurt. #3 would match the drummer volume easily while #5 was overkill. So in remembrance of past fun I got these, both of which I can plug in my actual guitar (not a button controller) into:

No pedals for me, yet. If I had an 11 on either of my wee amps they still would be vewy, vewy qwiet. haha. I have them both turned all the way up and control the volume (or lack thereof) through the guitars. Yeah, that's how you do it when you can't play.
