Purchasing in the US, but live in the UK. Issues?

I'm an American living in Edinburgh UK, and I'll be traveling home for Christmas. I intend to buy a Nexus S unlocked and without a contract, as it's much cheaper in the US than here.

My carrier in the UK is TMobile. Other than the stock charger it will come with, are there any operation issues with bringing the US-released Nexus S to be used in the UK?

The handset that is being released is the same around the world. So as the phone is quad band for GSM and Triband for HSPA it should work fine.

Where in the states are you buying it from? As I have a friend who is getting me one from the states whilst he is over there. I am unsure of the cost to bring it back.

Unless your using a US address connected to your card, the order wont go through.

No trouble there, I still have US cards and addresses tied to them.

Thank you though, I know someone who had recently forgotten that and it caused some frustration.

Well, I've just ordered it through Best Buy's US website. Hopefully there will be no issue once I'm using it here in the UK. I'll find out in mid-January when I return, and if there is I'll be sure to report back here.

I've never paid customs tax before, and I don't plan to start.
