Root Remove Verizon Wireless from pattern lock screen?

I rooted my Samsung Fascinate. Installed Titanium Backup and managed to uninstall some bloatware.

I would like to remove the text "Verizon Wireless" from my pattern lock screen and replace it with my name.

When I rooted my HTC Eris and loaded KoasFroyo I encountered a similar situation where that ROM made it say Team AndIRC. I was able to do what I wanted by replacing eri.xml.

When I try to use ADB to push that same eri.xml file to my Fascinate I get an access denied error. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Any guidance would be appreciated. Since the phone is locked I want my name available on the front in case it is ever lost.

type this command to put the file system into read/write mode

adb remount

Thanks, that was what I was doing. Seems I had to do an ADB Kill-Server first.

Oddly enough I was successful at uploading the file but the text remains the same. This worked on my Eris.
