removing pre-loaded app

how can you remove the pre-loaded apps like blockbuster,city id,fm radio etc from your droid x?

You'll need superuser permissions in order to do that. Root your phone and you will have SU

Check out the Root forum, and before you start deleting applications, read this:

Don't just start deleting. Deleting some apps will cause your phone to stop working.

If you use LauncherPro, you can choose to hide the apps you don't want to see. It won't technically delete or uninstall them, but at least they won't show up in the app drawer or anywhere else, so unless you're concerned about filling up the 8 GB with 1,000,000+ apps, it shouldn't make much of a difference...and you don't have to root.
