I replaced my wife's cracked screen and now the LCD appears black. The lower keys (Home, Menu, Return, Search) used to light up, but that stopped working too. I cannot see the screen unless I hold it up to the sunlight and then I can barely see the screen. The touch screen works and I can answer calls etc. I can

Things I have tried:
I disassembled and reassembled many times
Verified the screen brightness is turned all the way up
Performed a hard reset
Made sure nothing was blocking the light/proximity sensor

What else can I try? Does the light for the lower keys (Home, Menu, etc.) suppose to backlight the screen too?

PLEASE HELP!!!

THANK YOU
