Help Retrieve files: Swap out memory module

I dropped my Galaxy Nexus i515 and cracked the screen and digitizer. There are files that I'd like to grab off of the phone. My brother has the same phone. I was wondering what the least amount of components I can transfer over to his phone so I can borrow his working screen. I was thinking just the piece that holds the SIM card and memory module. I want to mess with his phone as little as possible. Thanks.

You don't need to mess with the memory module. Just open both cases and swap his digitizer/screen to yours, xfer whatever files you need, and then swap the screen back to his. That should be the easiest fix.
