Rom installation issues

I just recently was able to get this all working, got my phone rooted, got everything working all right, got sholes 1.1 installed on my phone. It was all good until I tried installing 1.2 on my phone. Every time I try to install any rom on my phone now it just sits on the screen saying it is trying to make a nandroid backup. I have to basically take the battery out every time because i can't get it to do anything. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? If you need more info let me know

What version of SPrecovery are you using, have you removed all previous versions of Sholes from your SD card? Are you trying to backup your current build and not restore from a previous one?
