Help Samsung Galaxy S on Three in UK

Newbie question alert.

Just got my SGS with Three.

FW: 2.2
BB Ver: NEJP2
Build No.: NEJP5

Couple of questions:

1) When is 2.2.1 upgrade coming out from 3
2) When is 2.3 upgrade coming out from 3

3) Has anyone running this phone successfully flashed with some of the more popular ROMs and if so what were your experiences
