Digital Spy is reporting that Samsung Pay won't be using MST technology when it launches in the UK. The reason suggested is that Visa Europe -- the biggest major credit card company partner for Samsung Pay -- has worked to retire the ancient magnetic card swipe method in the region over the years, and supporting MST would be counterproductive to their mission of ushering in more secure technology for contactless payments.
