Sexy Body app by Sex Disney

Hi:

Apps that target children to look at porn should be banned, period. Google needs to take some responsibility for the market--give me a break. Sex Disney never should have made it to square one. It would be hard to find a more egregious example of a malicious app.

I don't have a problem with adults looking at adult content but Sex Disney is predator behavior. The market is getting bigger and bigger--come on Google you have to watch out for children.

Wrong! The parents need to watch out for their children. How do you know it is "targeting" children. Maybe the person's last name is Disney, maybe it's his/her stripper name, who knows. Only thing I know is you have as much right to tell the dev that they can't be called sex disney as I have saying your child should be called dipshit jr.

No, they don't. "Malicious app" would be an app that key-logs your passwords, accesses your bank account details, or deletes your crucial system files. Or an app that pretends to be a calendar widget but which instead puts goatse pictures on your homescreen. As it happens, this "sexy body" thing is perfectly upfront about what it is.

Having an Android phone is not crucial to a child's life in any way, shape, or form. Sit down and parent better.

It was using the Disney name simply to get search hits. Obviously Google agreed, and removed it. It appears they may have got back on with the creator name BookStore.
Everyone can rant about free speech and people parenting their own kids, but it comes down to is something actually going to be bad for the marketplace, and is it going to get Google sued. Eventually a reporter could have done a story on it, things would get exaggerated and distorted as it made it's way into national news, as "android marketplace targets children with porn" harming sales of android phones.

Here is my take on this...

I don't want to censor what other adults see, or even other adults' children. I want to censor what my children see. If my child is looking over my shoulder while I look for a disney app to download a game for them to play, I don't want porn to pop up on the screen.

I want some control so that I can keep porn from popping up while I'm looking for kids' games. It can still pop up for all the other people out there who don't want to censor their phones, but let me censor what my child is exposed to... Unless you think we just shouldn't use the market if our children are looking...

Your child shouldn't even notice what it is unless you linger and/or open it. Kids aren't like adults. They don't get a glimpse of something and automatically think PORN. And yes if that is what it takes don't let your kids watch you in the market. Don't let them watch you use the internet either. And God forbid, don't let them watch the news cause that is a hell of a lot more horrifying then some nude chick.
