Root Since root, desire hd running like a dog

Hi guys.

Not sure if this is the correct place for this, I am new to the forum so forgive me if this is the wrong area.

I got my Desire HD a few days ago and a friend talked me through rooting it, unblocking it, and debranding it (it was on orange). I installed a standard rom and it is fine...........except, it is now running clunkly. Its a big of a dog at the moment.

I have narrowed down what I can and can't live without auto syncing (it seems slow when syncing a lot of data). I wonder if there is something obvious I am missing. Right now it is as slow as the iPhone 3g i got rid of in favour of ANdoird

Any thoughts for or guidance very much appreciated

It might be USB debugging.
Menu-settings-applications-development-place tick in USB Debugging

I highly recommend using this rom

I have been using it for months and its about 100x faster then stock

Possibly a dodgy rom, get a new one & reflash.
I recommend CM7RC2.
