Root SMS sound notification not working

After loading xtrSENSE 4.6 the sound notification for SMS no longer works. All others work (calls, calendar, etc).

Also very odd is that when trying to select another sound it doesn't preview that sound like it used to.

I have looked at every possible setting and nothing seems out of the ordinary.
