Help [Solved] Rooted but adverts not blocking over 4G

One of the main reasons for me rooting is because of how annoying adverts can be, in both viewing websites and games.

I've tried multiple ad blockers (adblock plus, adfree, ad away) but the same problem happens every time even though I'm rooted. On Wi-Fi ads are blocked just fine, but whenever I switch to mobile data (3G/4G) they keep appearing. All the ad blockers are up to date.

Any ideas guys?

Any apps I've tried so far (loaded up sites in Chrome I know have adverts, a few games too like RGB)

Cheers I'll mess some more with Ad Away.

Noticed something. If I run a VPN app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freevpnintouch&hl=en) it seems to stop adverts. I'ts not ideal though, I'd rather the ad blocker just stop everything regardless of where I get internet from.
