Sprint G-Nex Release Date Predictions?

Wow...next month?! That is early! It will be interesting how Sprint will push this phone with LTE capability when Sprint does not even have any LTE towers working! Is Sprint just gonna talk about the big screen and ICS and ignore LTE altogether?? They can't advertise LTE's capability on this phone without a single working tower outside of Dallas!

1. as i said this was a merely a guess by a Sprint retail employee that has no more info than we do.
2. as i said before we do not know exactly what LTE infrastructure Sprint has or does not have currently built out. you are assuming that they are sharing all of their competitive info with you. i can assure you that they are not.

we won't know anything until we know it.

There is absolutely no reason that Sprint "needs" to have their LTE up and running to release this phone. The only valid reasons for not releasing it for sale now are:
1. Samsung is working on a "plus" version that is a slight upgrade from the Verizon version, or they have completed that upgrade and don't have the stock distributed yet.
2. Beta testing the phone with the LTE test sites is still in progress.
3. They want to celebrate flipping the switch on their first LTE cities with releasing LTE capable phones.

Saying that they don't have nationwide LTE and can't release the phone is stupid. All you need to do is instruct your sales staff to educate the customer that they will not get "4G" until LTE is switched on. A good chunk of the WiMax phones have been bought by people who know they will never see Wimax and just want a good phone. Then look at how the 3G only iPhone has sold for Sprint. There are a LOT of people that would put up with a 3G only Nexus and would be delighted to be able to purchase it.

why waste money on an antiquated Wimax phone? yes Wimax still works but it is yesterday's technology. it is obsolete before you take it out of the box. Sprint is offering us NOTHING to upgrade to. Sprint is offering NOTHING for new customers. Sprint should release the LTE G-Nex. otherwise it is STUPID for anyone to buy a Sprint Android phone today. it's like buying a VCR and you know DVDs are already out. DUMB DUMB DUMB.

Hesse release the G-Nex already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
