I honestly don't know if i have actually put my phone in silent mode. I pressed the volume button until the vibrate icon showed.
I want it to stay in that mode, but i carry my phone on my front pocket, and i often press the lock screen and volume buttons when walking, and end up turning the volume back on, or putting it in "do not disturb".
Is there another proper way to set it to silent mode, and still be able to control to volume of Spotify with the volume buttons?
I own a stock Nexus 5, with the latest updates to my knowledge. I am fairly sure this is a new issue for me, that came a few patches ago, back when they changed the font on the clock on the lock screen.
