Help Still a Phone

I have had my Anroid for just over a month and overall love it, it is night and day difference as far as internet over my old Blackberry, however it lacks functionality of the Blackberry when it comes to contacts and profiles that allow ringtones to be assigned per contact as desired for both phone and SMS, the profiles also allowed me to say if I wanted certain contacts to audibly alert me regardless of other settings, this is important as during the work day there are only certain contacts that I should acknowledge. Any help or app recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
