Okay. I purchased a broke HTC Evo from my friend for 50.00 and it is spider webbed. Which screen should I use? I see lots on eBay but have not a clue. The phone still works great just need it fixed,
    Any help would be great.
    TIA

Word on the street is, you may be able to get it done for 35bucks at a Sprint repair station. Some have even had it done for free. Even without insurance. (you may want (need) to activate it first, though... so you have some leverage.)

    http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-accessories/172323-evo-replacement-parts.html

see if any of the links in there have screens.

some of the techs at non corporate sprint stores will do repairs like this for a small fee.

the $35 would be a hard route as you would have to provide proof of purchase for a warranty type claim

those that have had them repaired for free were current customers with the $7 mo. insurance.

    fixed :p

that covers warranty repair...which usually requires a proof of purchase. I am not sure that it will cover a non activated phone with no proof of purchase but it is definitely worth a shot.

you bring up another very valid question ....if it were replaced by insurace this phone he sold you may have a bad esn
