I have a T301 & have bought my son the Nexus 7. It is night & day differences. The T301 is a 2+ year old tablet with 256MB RAM, an offbrand single-core processor that restricts the apps that it can load & is barely better than an ereader. The Nexus 7 is as fast as any of the bigger named devices (it's made by Asus, the guys that make the Transformer) in a 7 inch screen. And that screen is much nicer resolution than the T301.

The 2 tablets are about as far apart as we can get right now on performance. But you get what you pay for. $200 is a deal for the Nexus 7. I would consider paying $50 to be too much for what I can & can't do on my T301.
