Help Tablet Doesn't Turn On - Help!

I just got my new flytouch 3 yesterday. I charged it up for an hour and tried turning it on. When I press and hold the power button, the tablet vibrates for a second and the screen flashes. Then nothing happens.

This is the first android device I have owned and I am completely new to this, I have been googling around for answers with no luck.


What I have tried:
- charged it for a further 2 hours: same problem
- pressed the reset button and tried again ultiple times: same problem


Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to do a recovery? It sometimes works.. Press the menu key and the back button (round key at the right side of the screen) and power. Hold it until it says recovery. Don't do anything and let it complete the procedure. It will restart itself and hopefully start.
