Top half of nexus 4 is unresponsive!!

Hi,

So i dropped my nexus 4 on the ground and it has about a 1 cm crack on the top right. Every since i dropped it the top of half of the screen is unresponsive.
I've read the other forum threads and was wondering if replacing the screen would fix this issue. I don't have insurance on it and also could this be an internal problem with the phone and not the screen at all? I'm confused since its such a small crack and yet it effects the whole top half of the phone.

Could be the digitizer, so also might want to look into that as well if doing a self repair.

I dropped my phone & the top corner of the screen was shattered & had a long crack across the face of the screen, so it sounds a little worse than yours.

My full screen was unresponsive & got a repair from carphone warehouse in the UK. Not sure if you're in the UK, but the price they charged was only a little more than buying the parts myself.
