Total Recall app is not CLEAR. Whats a better app?

I have been using Total Recall for a month. It is very user friendly and simple. But its not clear! I understand Mel Gibson's wife recorded their conversations through an app similar to Total Recall, but if youve heard those calls, theyre crystal clear.

Is there something I am doing wrong or I am unaware of? Better quality if you get the paid version? I am using an HTC Thunderbolt, if that matters.

So tell me of a better app thats just as user friendly that has crystal clear quality. Thanks!
