I am getting my new evo today and I want make sure I dont lose anything, most importantly my slingbox app i just dropped $30 on. I use appbrain. Is there a back up i should download? I did save my contacts to my sd card and gmail account already

MyBackup Pro is great for that. There is a 30 day free trial. BUT you shouldn't have to worry about it at all because when you enter your market ID into the new EVO, it will show you all the apps you've purchased in the Downloads section and you can redownload them for free. This will work no matter what Android phone you use.
