Help Transferring through USB cable is starting to suck on my phone...

And taking out the microSD card out to transfer files is not an option. I have to do some wild stuff in order for my phone to recognize the MicroSD card.


Speed on USB cable starts at 3MB/s and goes down to 0bytes in less than 10 seconds. What could be wrong?
 
I assume the sd card worked perfectly to start with?

If so, I'd be tempted to connect it to a pc, backup the entire contents and format the card. Then transfer the backup you made back to the card and see if it has helped.

If that doesn't help, then maybe it's time to invest in a new sd card.

Yes, I formatted because some songs (that I transferred) skip while playing.


The connectors on the card (those gold strips) look like they're scratching off, if that makes any sense.
