Turning off power on/off Jingle?

Is there a way to turn off the loud jingle the vibrant plays when it powers up or down?

Go to settings, sounds and display, system volume, and turn it all the way down. But know that doing this also turns down the feedback noise when you click on something

I used this method, which requires you have a rooted phone:

I deleted these two files using Root Explorer (referenced below) and can attest it works perfectly.

The i9000 Galaxy bootup/shutdown animation/sounds were listed above if you want a new look.

Thanks to XDA Member PhilSlater I know that the File locations are:
Bootup: system/etc/PowerOn.wav
Shutdown: system/media/audio/ui/Shutdown_128.ogg
