typing in landscape is kinda tuff

man that cord really gets in the way of me holding it comfortable when trying to text with it being charged

It does feel weird when typing with the charge plugged...but I got used to it or I switch to portrait.

For right finger texting with the EVO in your left hand try this:

1. open the kickstand and stick it between your index and middle finger
2. snake the usb charging cord between your middle and ring finger.

It gives you a pretty tight grip and you can use the inside of your left thumb to punch the power button if needed. Works great during Sprint TV or video viewing too.

I've gotten used to it on the G1's touchscreen keyboard, so it didn't matter much to me on the evo. Just rest the charging cable between the most comfortable pair of fingers (usually index and middle) and you'll be fine. if not, you may need to revert to half-qwerty/old school dialpad with T9 and just do 1 handed in portrait.
