Help Unable to disable data & wireless

Phone - Samsung galaxy fit. Bought in Sep last year
Android - 2.3, Rooted.

Whenever I press the wireless button to turn it off, or do the same to data - it automatically turns back on.

Also I am unable to put my device in flight mode. It automatically switches to regular mode.

I have not installed any "weird" 3rd party app. I have rebooted the phone several times. Is this a hardware fault or software?

I have these apps - FB, Twitter, gReader, Bible, TechRepublic, Viber, DLF IPL, Dropbox, Sms Backup+, Saavn, Stopwatch, Dolphin browser HD, GDrive

Please help!
