Unlocked Desire from Phones4U?

Just seen this great deal from Phones4U: htc desire contract mobile phone from phones 4u


Does anyone know if the phone would be unlocked from Orange? I have called up Phones4U and the woman said they can't guarantee it would be if ordered online. I get the impression it was a generic answer and not really helpful.

Mobiles.co.uk are selling unlocked Orange and Vodaphone phones but not T-Mobile.

Does anyone know if it will be unlocked or not?

It probably will be unlocked but for some reason T-Mobiles one isn't.

Yeah I did read on HotUKDeals that it is locked and filled with Orange crap, and then found this thread which fits: http://androidforums.com/htc-desire/62167-orange-crap.html

I think i'm going to spend a bit extra and get an unlocked, unbranded one from mobiles.co.uk
