I have the original Galaxy Note 10.1 4g lte tablet, Verizon. Not the 2014, but the older. It was on contract for two years and then I canceled. It's currently serving as the kid's tablet.
It's running 4.1. A game the kid wanted to play wouldn't install so my first though was update to a newer version of Android and discovered (duh) that without being on the Verizon network I couldn't get an update.
As I see it my options are:
Root, which I find daunting because I've never done it before and I'm finding tons of conflicting info.
or get it back on the Verizon network long enough to do an update, which is probably the last update it'll get because I'm sure it's been obsoleted.
Or, something I haven't thought of?
