Back when I had an HTC Eris and discovered the market, I posted a comment in February 2010 (http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/41943-sound-amplifier-hearing-aid-app.html#post1189799) about an app for using the cell phone as a hearing "aid" I was informed today that the Iphone has an app now available for that very purpose (Ginger Labs - Products.) So, I sent an email to the developers and asked if it could be applied to the Android market as well. I am sure there are many people besides myself that could use this app. Here's hoping they do it. Here is a copy of my email to Ginger Labs (the developers of Sound AMP R):
"In regards to your SoundAMP R application for Iphones, this is my post from back in February (http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/41943-sound-amplifier-hearing-aid-app.html#post1189799) in Androidforums.com: 'I have searched for an app that would allow a hard of hearing person to use earbuds and have the phone amplify the ambient sound to act as a poor man's hearing aid or sound amplifier. Not even sure if this is possible but it seems it might work in theory. Any developers out there know if this is realistic?' Now that you have designed this app can it be made available to Android OS ?"
