Verizon Range Extender

Hello,
New here, hope I don't bore anyone.
I just recieved the Verizon Range Extender. I hooked it up, correctly, and now I have:

Top light: BLUE
Next light: SLOW RED FLASH
Next light: PINK or LAVENDER
Bottom light: BLUE

I have relocated Extender several times by windows in all compass directions, and even put the GPS extended antenna outside. Nothing helps.
I have 1-2 bars on my DroidX from local tower.
Anybody have a fix?
Is this Extender bad?
