Help why does android do this?

I noticed also with HTC Dream.... i went to go to barcode scanner app and when i clicked on the app it was already in the market....ok... so I pressed the back button and it took me to home screen. I had to slide up drawer AGAIN and restart barcode and then it was at the take a picture page where it should be. Why does it do that? it does that too with texting as well. (not now that i noticed after upgrading to handcent instead of stock messaging)


any thoughts?

Used to really do my tree in on Stock messaging

Get a message, read it, press back to goto another - no it would quit out, load messaging back up after going through drawer and yes, its on homepage

i think its just a bad programming of the back command - or just the way its implimented in some apps rather than the Android OS itself
