Root Xposed / Xprivacy

I want to install Xprivacy which relies on the Xposed framework. When I go to install Xposed, I get the following error:

"Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip...
Mounting /system writable...
Segmentation fault
Could not mount /system writable
Trying to continue anyway...
Segmentation fault

Failed to create a backup of /system/bin/app_process"

Do I need to try an alternate install method than classic? Not really sure what I'm doing at this point

Use the recovery based install.
IMO it's safer

Install the previous version, 2.4.1
