I ordered mine on the 13th and got them today, the 21st, in NC. I got the Full Body as well as the Maximum Coverage one, and will probably send one back. I think I'll have BestBuy install the Maximum Coverage one when I get the phone, because I've never installed a skin, and this one looks like a b**tch to install. The guy there has installed many Zaggs, and it seems worth 9$ to me. There is the issue of not being able to play with the EVO for 12 hours after Zagg installation, so we'll see.
I've got a Phantom coming also, incase the Zagg is too sticky, peels, whatever. No being obsessive about the EVO here.
Now if I could just find out if it has a lanyard loop ...

I actually bought the Zagg Inviisble shield for the EVO a week ago. I bought 2 because I am going to get 2 EVO's. However I am returning it both. Reason being is that there is no shield for the sides. On the box itself, it says "Wraps top, bottom, and sides" Looking at the shield itself, it will only cover the front and back. They do not have any protectors for the sides where the volume rocker is, the power switch, and the hdmi/usb ports. Those will be unprotected.
Invisible shield comes with 2 pieces one for the back cover, one for the front. There does not seem to be any precision cuts on either sides of these pieces which would indicate 2 things.
1. The 2 piece shield will cover the sides thus covering the ports.
2. They only give us the front and back pieces leaving the sides unprotected.
and yes, i joined this forum just to inform you guys. I can take pictures if needed.
The ghost armor have side pieces to go on it AND right now you can order a full body one for the same price as just the front piece!I actually bought the Zagg Inviisble shield for the EVO a week ago. I have never owned a capacitive screen device, only resistive. The Evo is capacitive, right? So how will the Zagg work on the screen?
Has anyone tried one yet on an Evo?
I ordered mine already (from the local dealer) and they will put it on for me (the only way to go) but now I am kind fo worried that it will kill the performance of the capacitive screen...
you need to get the "Full Body Maximum Coverage" to get the side pieces. believe you got the "Full body easy install"
Ah - gotcha!
Personally doesn't much matter to me. I've since decided to forgo the back protector anyway, in lieu of applying the 3M Carbon Fiber mod.
What is the 3M Carbon fiber mod? And I also just ordered the Maximum coverage for the phone and just hopeing for the best and also if you guys didn't notice you can return it for a full refund if your not happy.
Bek- I found it immediately after I submitted that post.
SaltyDawg-Can't you buy them online with the discount code and then go to Zagg in your mall and have them install it for free since its their company? It would save you some money.
I received my ZAGG Full Body Maximum Coverage Kit and have had it installed for 3 days now.
Summary: there are a few design flaws in the side pieces but overall I am satisfied with the kit. When the shield eventually needs replacing I might just replace the Front.
Front:
The front went on without any air bubbles or lint. Be sure to work somewhere where you have no lint or pollen in the air. First I scrubbed my finger tips with a no-lotion soap for like 3 minutes. Then I cleaned my Evo screen with eyeglass cleaner and a lint-free eyeglass cloth. Then I cleaned my finger tips again. Then lightly sprayed the back of the screen cover, attached it at the top and started working down with the squeegee to move all air bubbles out long before it gets dry.
The touch is now more of a dead plastic high friction feel than the glassy screen feel. I actually am typing more accurately now with this feel and like how you don't see visible fingerprints all the time. There is definitely a lot more friction now when dragging the unlock pattern each time. The screen almost as sensitive now so the key seems to be touching very lightly instead of pressing on the screen to avoid the friction.
Front flaws: there is a notch on the top to the right of the HTC reason but no notch needed there. The overall width could be 1mm wider to fit side to side completely.
Side:
The side pieces have a few design flaws. Flaws include tapered points when there is no reason for a tapered point and overlaps at 2 points. I had to trim about 1.5mm off of two pieces to avoid getting an overlap. The positioning was correct though as there is no space gap on the other side of either piece. Another flaw is the coverage of the power button but that seems to be working out okay actually. The pieces that extend to the volume up/down button could have had smaller portions that went along the side of the button but do not, so this is the only exposed piece of the case on any side now.
Back:
The back fits rather nicely including a separate piece for the metal kick stand. The camera lens, LEDs and speakerphone are not covered. I had to palm the round corners a few times while drying to keep them attached properly.
To cure the case because I wanted to take it out right away, I used a hair dryer on low setting for a few minutes.
