GPS fix? trying to compile all the fixes to try

anyone have a gps fix? im trying to compile all the GPS fixes,
ive tried flashing and unrooting, then flashing and rooting

DE03
all the different roms (joeykrim, vampirefo, dearmas family, etc etc)
##GPSCLRX#

still not working. im avoiding taking it into (waste of time i think) sprint, any help would be appreciated

The only thing that fixed my GPS was a new phone. My wifes Moment would show 9 satellites with decent strength, and mine would have 2 at best. Sprint tried snowing me over about it with their reasons why they think it is fine. After th new phone, all is well.

I used the gps test app.

same here, only worse. my wife's EVO, and her old hero (with no service) both show 7-9 satellites at any given time, but my moment wont lock even ONE satellite. i just hate exchanging phones thru sprint, , i exchanged 3 palm pres thru sprint, and thats how i got the moment (all 3 palm pres had the airplane mode problem, and they were bone stock, i didnt even know what rooting was when i had them)

Mine worked great on the stock 1.5 but the cl14 update broke it. It still didn't work through various 2.1 roots and the official 2.1. I recently loaded the DearmasFamily 3.1 Ultimate rom and now when I run GPS Test it all of a sudden starts working. I can get 6 sats sitting in my living room. I haven't tried it outside yet but I would expect a few more.

His 3.2 release works even better on the phone in general and he's promised another update in a few days. 3.2 works so well though I'll probably just stay with it for a while. Give it a shot and see if it works for you.

i really wonder what it is in certain roms that enable/disable GPS. i wish someone could pull that bit out and have a standalone fix, because its really disappointing. the past 5 sprint phones i had didnt have 100% functional GPS (original instinct, 3 palm pres, and this moment) this moment was the only one modified (as inrooted/themed, etc) all others were bone stock, had gps and airplane mode problems

The way my phone has acted, I think that the GPS radio is about deaf. Even outside, I'm lucky to get more than 3 or 4 satellites, all with marginal signal strength.

I'm not going to worry about it though. My phone will be a year old in November (which is approaching at a terrifying speed in my life). I'll probably upgrade to a newer handset around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

My original phone was useless with GPS. I finally took it in and complained and they replaced it with a new one. The GPS signal is super awesome now!


FWIW - New phone is the only way to fix the issue.

His 3.2 release works even better on the phone in general and he's promised another update in a few days. 3.2 works so well though I'll probably just stay with it for a while. Give it a shot and see if it works for you.

A replacement phone fixed GPS for me, so if you are an early adopter of the phone, before your year warranty is up, should be an easy deal to get an exchange as long as it has not been abused too much.

Personally I can't believe how much I like his latest ROM. It made the phone work again, and it made it fun again for me. 3.2 works so well I'll probably skip his next few updates. It has a few bugs in it but overall it works great right out of the box.

I don't normally pimp stuff like that but it's just that good imo. Glad you liked it.

Do protected apps show with the dream 3.2 rom? They didn't under Lightning 2.8
