How to give own effects to image captured by camera in android application

Hi All
I am developing an camera application where i want to capture image and give special effects.
can anyone tell me how to work on preview of camera image taken by camera which i have include in application.
My application is capturing image and saving it in device.But i want to show the new image according to user's choice for effects(whichever he wants) from inside the application.
