How to get $10 tmobile internet data plan work with BH2 ?

Does anyone know how to get the $10 plan work with BH2. I tried to add that plan to my number yesterday and it didn't work ?

I've only ever seen the Pre-Android 'Net plan work if you had the plan prior to getting an Android (and using your existing SIM card)


I haven't heard of it working the other-way-around.

It should work automatically, I would imagine. I'm running T-zones and it works fine except for the no visual voicemail- which I'm okay with. YOu can call t-mobile, tell them you have some old phone like a motorola Razr and ask them to add it for you...you can even try to get the t-zones 5.99 plan.

just change your APN to wap.voicestream.com and set the proxy to 216.155.165.50:8080

This works if you have a wap only plan (I have the super old Unlimited T-Zone plans and it works just fine.

Doesn't work t-mobile can tell what phone you have and what plan works with it by either IMEI or Model number.

Wrong, YOU CAN use the $10 unlimited data on the behold. It is probably one of the few if not ONLY android tmobile branded phone that can.

you will just need to change the apn.

you try this on the mytouch 3g/slide it still wont work due to imei blacklist

Nope you can't this one only allows Android Data Plan and the pay $2 per mb plan.

either way paying only for internet makes no sense to me. Especially if there are proxies where you can do it for free.

Did you buy this phone directly from T-mo? If so, go to your online account and change it, take your sim card out and put it in a new phone, call them and get them to add the plan. They can scan for the IMEI if they like and it won't show up. Once it's added, just switch your sim card out. I heard that works. Other than that, I'm running BHII on t-zones. It's one of only 2 phones currently that can do this (which is a huge reason I'm keeping it). The other is the Nexus 1.

Would you like us to show you video? actually forget that idea, it would reveal too much personal info, so you can take the information as you like, but it does work, and if it doesnt for you, you are definitely paying too much.

I HAVE a mytouch3g slide also, and the reason im selling it is because you cant use the $10 data plan, regarless if changing it and correct settings.

I don't have the Android plan. I have the same internet plan I've had since 2005. Just put the old SIM card in and it works with no changes.

tritran, yes you are correct.

it may work right off the bat, so test it first. if it goes to the page asking you that you need to upgrade the data plan, then change the APN.

Wrong. I don't have a data plan and have full/unlimited internet access on 3G.

It may not work on new plans or new subscribers, I have an old plan that I have had for like 6-8 years and have never changed it, and this method has worked fine on multiple phones, including my Behold 2.

One caveat, the built in browser may not work to access the internet, you may need to use Opera, this is what I do when on 3G. Otherwise you can use anything on WiFi of course.

I think there may also be a couple of other blocked sites/apps, but I don't recall every running into them.

Don't draw attention to yourself by calling CS or abusing it by using it a lot or downloading tons of MB etc..

if this plan worked on the mytouch 3g slide i wouldve kept mine.

does anyone know if it will work on the cliq or better yet the cliq xt?

hey, 3G or EDGE. I checked the connect speed and it was 20kb/s for download and 10kb/s for upload.

That answer is no. I've researched it before getting the BH2. It usually works for a day or two and then conks out. It looks like as long as T-mo doesn't give 2 craps about the phone, then you're good to go Hey, what do you know...

I use the $10 dollar internet plan with no problems at all. APN: internet2.voicestream.com works just fine for me have been using it for months.

to run a semi-new phone that runs droid and only pay a maximum of $10 data for unlimited with 3g. there are people out there who use this with $5.99 tzones!!! now that is hard to beat.

such a shame.

there is always the nexus one that has confirmed to work, and since it supports tmobile 3g should be the "best" option.

then i hear it works with unbranded gsm phones, like from att, etc. but no tmo 3g of course.

I can do even one better. I have the super old $4.99 unlimited T-zones and have it working fine over 3G, unlimited. My entire plan with minutes and data is $24.99. Of course you can't get those plans any more, mine is like 6 or so years old already. With Google Voice I can also make unlimited local/long distance calls. I laugh at my iPhone buddies who have like $90 a month and have to stand on top of buildings to get signals on their crap ATT network and pay for Apps.

Dude are you sure that it works for the Nexus? Because I am planing on getting one!
