Droid Eris, rediculously slow??? especially on phone calls..
if so, does anyone know an upgrade or is there anything to do??

first off start by deleting the call log every 5-10 calls
also you may want to download a task killer (advanced task killer ) from the market its free. you may also want to look at this

I've heard that using a task killer can actually slow down your device.

Try removing the weather widget from your home screen. Then reboot the phone and report back to us to see if that helped.

Dialer lag is one of those things it seems the Eris just has. I am so fed up with mine I am about to go to a Droid X if I can't get root soon (see 'Root for Leak Has Been Found').

I've tried all the log trimming, task killing, etc. and nothing really seems satisfactory. Why can't the phone just.... work? I love it for everything else, especially the form factor, but if my phone can't make calls reliably, why have it?
