I'm obsessed with my Hero and couldn't be happier

I've had a lot of phones, even recently I've had the Pre, iPhone 3GS and Blackberry Tour. Last month I picked up the Hero because I was annoyed with AT&T and iPhone.

I would just like to share that I'm so satisfied with the Hero. The Sense UI and scenes are amazing. I have seven pages of widgets, picture frames, icons and folders set exactly how I want it and whenever my friends see, they're always jealous at how nice it looks and how much it can do, even from the homescreen. One friend said, "Wow...my iPhone sucks. I just have apps...pages and pages of apps" lol

All of the widgets, the pretty good music player, the browser which I have no complaints for (except that I wish Flash Lite had a higher level of compatibility with flash content)...I love my Hero.

Now just fix that SMS bug so I can stop using Handcent!

Agree - love mine also. Have had for 3 weeks - amazing. Have always been a Palm person and ALMOST got the Pre. But, too many hardware problems and the software is non-existent, unless you want to go through hoops to change the software. Maybe next year if they get their act together. Love the Hero!

Just wanted to chime in on this as well, I love this phone too. I came from an instinct and the Hero is my savior. I spend way too much time playing with this phone. Couple of small issues that need an update but after the instinct I am certainly not going to complain much lol.
Really its amazing what this does.

lol You guys had it good in the past compared to me. Try living with the Instinct for a year. It makes one even more greatful for a Hero to fall into your lap after that experience! Needless to say, I'm just as happy if not happier than you guys with my Hero....just want the bugs fixed asap.

I had the Instinct as well. In all fairness, once I altered my expectations the phone was not that bad. What it DID do, it did fairly well. The problem was the Sprint launched the phone with lofty expectations (iPhone killer, etc.) and did next to nothing to improve it. No apps to speak of, so if you wanted apps you were out of luck. Like I said, once I understood that and accepted the phone for what it was, my disappointment in the phone was lessened. However, now that I have the Hero it is light years beyond the Instinct. Whether it's better than the iPhone (or other smart phones) isn't that important to me. It is the best phone I have owned, and I can do pretty much anything I want with it. So I'm with the original poster in saying I couldn't be happier. :)

My (former) instinct is sitting at the buyback depot, along with a TP, and a Mogul. Good bye and Good Riddance :)
