Accessories Desktop Dock application?

I swear i saw in one video on youtube that there was an app or different screen layout when the phone is installed on the desktop dock. Since i don't actually have the dock i thought there was an app like the car dock app or something. Anyone know more?

Different screen for sure! I bought two docks today.

edit: think of a sideways lock screen with options for music, alarm and a few other things.

Try downloading dockrunner from the market. It let you go to dock mode with other phones, probably works with this one.

So you have to have the dock to get that look? theres not app like the car mount app that you can still use even tho you didnt get their car mount

How's that? It's much different than the nav dock screen.

I got two docks with my corp discount at the local VZ store today.

Like how you can use the car mount app with out moto's car mount.

Oh, no idea! But I'm glad the dock is here after dealing with my Incredible and no acc's even today like a dock.

I downloaded dock runner.

Initially it put me into the Original Droid docking mode.

When I closed Dock runner, it opened the Droid X docking mode. Really nice might I say.

The only problem was that there was no way to close the DX docking mode.

It has an X-out tab, but doing so, closes the dock mode and keeps it running in the background and in the notification tab.

Any ideas?

I believe you have to run dockrunner again to exit the mode.

Same thing happened to me. I was able to get back to "normal" except that the dock icon was still in the notification bar. I was able to get rid of that by inducing it to go into dock mode using a magnet.

FYI, a simple magnet placed on the back near the speaker will put it into car/multimedia dock mode. It figures out which mode to go into based on the magnet polarity...which is pretty slick! Put a magnet against it one way and it goes into car mode. Flip the magnet over and it goes into multimedia dock mode.

No, the multimedia dock app. It shows the clock and weather widget.

However, running the CarDock app might cause the DockRunner app to close...

I knew the magnets induced it, but I couldn't figure out why it went to car dock sometimes and media mode other times.

Thank you for this. I had an ezstand for my droid, and I moved the magnet from the left side to the right behind the speaker, but I didn't realize I had it back wards, since it kept finish into car dock.

I'll flip it tonight.

Have searched for DockRunner but does not show up in the Market on my Droid. Any idea why or where I could get it?
