I've had my INC Rooted and have the old version of ClockworkMOD Recovery since I did it.

I believe i know how to do it,

1) Download
http://koush.tandtgaming.com/recover....5.0.1-inc.img
2) DO NOT PLUG IN YOUR PHONE
3) Run unrEVOked v3.0
4) Under FILE choose CUSTOM RECOVERY
5) Point to the img file
6) Plug in your phone

Is that how you do it?
What does the new version do that the old one doesnt?
Is it in my best interest to do it?
How do I do it with v3.1?

Good question, I've been wondering this as well.

I searched around and turned up the 2.5.0.0 changelog (could not find 2.5.0.1) Koush posted at XDA:

  • Confirmation on all restores, wipes, and anything that would otherwise change your system.
  • Alphabetically sorted zip and nandroid lists.
  • Support for all ext2/3/4 partitions.
  • Added a back button/power button select for ephumuris!!!!! When recovery starts, press up/down/up/down to turn it on or off. (Basically, scroll over the top/bottom of the menu several times)
  • Better error integration with ROM Manager.
  • Command line nandroid.
  • Backup of Froyo apps2sd!

..I guess if none of this matters to you, then no need to upgrade (I have no plans to upgrade).
