Okay this sounds really stupid. I used the Clockwork, un-revoke tool which is suppose to root your phone.
My intention was not to root my phone but to run recovery.
I wanted to downgrade so I went thru the motion and it said everything was done/successful.
Now, I DONT want to be rooted. I am thinking of exchanging my phone for the Droid X.
I went into the terminal and did some root things but they were unsuccessful like "whoami", tried to unmount file system,etc...
I am running "sudo <whatever command>" and "su" so it fails. I assume I'm not rooted but why would unrevoke app say I am?
I am struggling to downgrade using Linux (different topic) but for now, I want to confirm my phone is not rooted.
