Ok so i have a few .mkv video files.

Video file
A..= 1080p and wont play

B=720p will play but no sound

B= after i split mkv and redid sound video and sound play.But volume way to low. barly can hear.

C= unmodded 720p both video and sound play but again volume to low.

So my question is what type file does it play that are 1080p.? How to fix said problems?

Can I ask why you'd want to waste your hard drive space with video files whose resolution exceeds your screens abilities in the first place?

If u asking why have such higher res.... ? Then higher res dosent matter. Execpt for at least one file so i can show off the display of this phone.

Or if u asking why movies on Hd .....Well i get pretty bored at work.

I found a app that can change the res to screens normal size and it looks fine.(handbreak) only problem still is Audio is so low... Maybe 3 thirds lower than if i make my own video using captivates camara.

Well most files im trying are played through my AVR at home. But even on my laptop they are pretty loud. I can send a small sample if u like.

And yes i know there are no need to play such a large res. I just read that it was capable to play that type file. Also just to show off to friends i can use allshare and have it play straight to my Un55c6500 for chits and giggles.

Are you laying the phone down while playing back the video? If I'm in a noisy room or trying to share a video I cup my hand in the back of the phone (well this is what I did with the aria, not too much time with the Captivate yet) to redirect the rear speaker's volume forward. Worked wonders. Helps to put something behind the phone with some buffer space to redirect the sound.
