Been loving the capabilities of this phone but have any of you experienced the lower back portion of the phone warming during game use? I could be overly sensitive because from way back when the white 3gs was showing burn marks on the back.

It doesn't feel so hot that it's burning my skin but I can't imagine it's good for the phone to get warm like this.

Mostly happening when using the psx4droid app.

:D(Yaay! My first post!):D

Your phone is working hard processing all the data and graphics of that game you are running. This is normal for it to heat up. Now if it freezes up or reboots itself in the middle when it gets that hot, then you are in trouble. But the phone generating heat like that is pretty normal. Excessive would be when it burns your skin or shuts down from it.

Thanks for the quick reply. That all makes sense - I'm just being the overprotective new parent. ;)

No problem mike. When I had my regular droid, and it was overlocked to 1ghz, it would heat up to the point where I thought it could burn me when playing games. It never did "melt down" or die like everyone warns, but at that point I was pushing it. But your stock phone thats made to handle all that is more than fine.
